The Coaches University Review (Fake Review Alert)

Hey, it’s Lucas! Lately, a few clients and members of our community have reached out saying that a business that goes by the name of ‘The Affiliate Doctor’ has created a fake review of The Coaches University. In the internet world, you can think of their tactic as ‘hijacking traffic’ in order to get more eyeballs on their program (which I’m sure has to do with affiliate marketing or a ‘better’ business model.

That’s not what bugs me (I’m all for freedom of speech and all that). What bugs me is the morally questionable and downright dirty way of playing the game. Also, this guy named ‘Dylan’ (although I’m sure that’s not his name as all social media links just go to some online course), totally misleads readers by:

a) misquoting The Coaches University price. Now, we’ve had clients anticipate upwards of $25,000 to work with us so the fact that he’s off on our price is really not a bad thing. But if you’re out there searching for opportunities to make the best investment for you, this review could cost you more in lost opportunities.

b) misleading The Coaches University ’10K Guarantee’ and our ‘work with you until you get paid’ promise. We 100% stand behind it, and our clients get massive results because of it. You can check out a long lineup of coaches who have hit $10K and beyond here.

c) stating that running a coaching business is ‘hard.’ It’s not when you have the right systems in place. Actually, and this is just my opinion, running a coaching business and serving clients with my special gifts is one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever done. If you’re just getting into coaching because of the money… then you’re in it for the wrong reasons.

So, with that said, I’ll post The Affiliate Doctors entire review below with my thoughts in BOLD regarding the false claims… and you can either investigate it further or have a look through our long list of client testimonials for The Coaches University here!

The Coaches University Review – Is Lucas Rubix’s Course A Scam? – Fake review from ‘The affiliate Doctor’

The Coaches University is a training program that comes from Lucas Rubix. (true)

It’s pricey and if you’re here you’re probably wondering if it’s a scam or not.

You’ll get the answer to that in this review.

Below you’ll find everything you need to know about this course including a look at who Lucas is, how much it will cost, overview of what you get and more.

You’ll know if The Coaches University is right for you by the time you’re done.

Let’s get into it!

There’s a lot of courses that will teach you how to be an online coach and most are very expensive.. so it’s not surprising that this one costs so much.

I personally just don’t like the online coaching business model.

You really need to be an expert to be an online coach and you have to deliver for your clients.

It’s a lot of work and it’s pricey to get started with.

There’s much easier and affordable ways to make money online. (They put their link for their ‘better’ program here)

The Coaches University Review continued….

Who Is Lucas Rubix?

The Coaches University Review

There’s not too much out there about Lucas that doesn’t come straight from him.. it’s always good to be skeptical of the claims internet marketers make. (Just ignore the hundreds of testimonials, right?)

Besides being the creator of The Coaches University Lucas runs a Youtube channel and has what he claims is a top 10 marketing podcast. (You can look that claim up on MyPodcastReviews)

His Youtube channel hasn’t gained much traction and only has 4k subscribers (Quality over volume. Our YouTube channel helps up earn over $100,000 per month, and is proof that you don’t need a massive following or to buy fake fans to build a profitable coaching business)

Lucas has made his money teaching other people how to be coaches.. so he’s a coaches coach. (Untrue. After I spent 3 years in the fitness industry, evolved that business into an online business, and eventually fell in love with marketing and business. The Coaches University is not a “learn how to coach program” – we definitely help a coach develop mastery in their craft, but that’s just an added bonus. To this day we still run other coaching programs, like Manifestation Mastery, where we dive deep into energy and manifestation work with clients.)

If I had to guess Lucas has made quite a bit of money doing this because he charges so much. (True, we and our clients make a lot of money. Won’t argue that 😉 )

What Business Model Does This Course Teach?

The Coaches University stays true to its name and teaches you how to be a coach in your chosen field.

Being an online coach is legitimate in the sense it can make you money. (At least they got that right)

The problem I have with this business model is there’s so many phonies and frauds in the industry.

There’s not many times I’d ever hire an online course (coaching program you mean?) because I know the type of people who become online coaches. (That’s probably a better reflection of you than of other people)

Many aren’t even successful in what they’re coaching.

Additionally, it’s a lot of work to get clients and this is not a business model for introverts or timid people. (For a coach who’s called to serve, this is the only way… introvert (like me) or not)

You’ll need to run ads, do sales calls and actually coach clients to their desired outcome. (Needing to run ads or build complicated funnels is absolutely untrue, but yes if you’re a coach the coaching part is what you actually want!)

When someone is paying thousands they expect you to deliver.

I personally like making money in laid back ways where I don’t need to do sales calls or anything like that.

The Coaches University Overview

The Coaches University Review

The Coaches University is a hybrid program.. you get both training and group coaching. (What they mean is you get both 1:1 and group coaching, which is a massive WIN-WIN for clients)

Here’s a look at everything you get: (I won’t bother commenting on everything below as they do a poor job of giving you much detail. If you want a full breakdown of what’s inside, how things work, and all of the nitty-gritty details, just email me directly and I’ll send you a detailed PDF with everything you need to know)

This section will teach you how to drive traffic to your offer. (I will leave a comment on this one actually. We teach you how to drive traffic through content marketing and partnerships… we DO NOT teach you or endorse creating fake reviews to hijack traffic from other coaches in your space)

Weekly Live Coaching Calls

Twice a week there’s group coaching in the members area.

Tuesday’s calls focus on mindset while Wednesday calls focus more on sales and marketing. (We actually have 3-4 calls a week you can join)

What Is The Stay Until You Get Paid Guarantee?

One of the main pitches of the course is you get complete access to everything until you make $10,000.

I find this to be a little weird, though.

Basically it’s promising you access to support and the weekly coaching calls until your get to that amount of money.

However, there’s a lifetime membership area access guarantee as well. (This is where you’re misinformed. Lifetime access to membership site, YES. Access to our 1:1 and group coaching calls is until you make $10,000. Most of our clients hit that between 10-12 weeks, but we’ll keep working with you until you do, no matter how long it takes)

So it’s not like you can ever be kicked out of the program and you’re not just paying for a limited time.

Once you hit $10,000 Lucas claims you can then go through the advanced training or join the Inner Circle group.

I have on clue if this will cost you more money. (yup, it does. But the ROI is insane as we start helping coaches scale to $25,000 a month and beyond)

Anyway, the $10,000 guarantee kind of just seems like a gimmick and doesn’t come with much added value. (It’s the best in the industry, but okay 👍 )

The Coaches University FAQs

1) Is The Coaches University worth $7499?

That’s a big cost to learn how to make money online. (The price is not $7500… although maybe it should be)

However, coaching courses typically are very expensive and there’s courses 1 on 1 training programs that cost $100,000+.

You’re getting training and group coaching here.

It’s a lot but if you’re absolutely dead set on being an online coach it could be worth it (which is perfect for who we serve, this is not for anyone who just wants to make money online by making a % of someone else’s program and from hijacking someone’s traffic)

I would just recommend looking at other programs and business models if you’re just looking to make money online.

2) Is Lucas Rubix legit?

I believe so.

He has more than just The Coaches University too.. he also has a popular marketing podcast as well.

It would be hard to fake that much success. (Haha, why thank you!)

3) What will I learn in this program?

This is a program for anyone that wants to be an online coach.

This isn’t the easiest way to make money online but it is a legitimate one.

Just make sure you’re up for the job before jumping in.. this isn’t a business model where you can be successful if you’re lazy. (This is true. Lazy people need not apply)

You’ll need to hustle up business, make sales calls, coach your clients and deliver results. (I don’t believe in hustle. I believe in alignment and flow)

4) Is there a refund policy?

There’s a refund policy but it’s not a good one.. you only get 7 days to get your money back and you need to do quite a bit to get a refund. (Correct. We invest a lot of time into our clients, and 7 days is enough to know if it’s right for you. After that, we expect FULL commitment)

You’ll need to do all the work in the first module and join one of the group coaching calls.

5) Are there any alternatives?

Yes, there’s many courses that will teach you how to make money online.

PS. I also want to say that I have nothing but love for all humans, and whoever is behind The Affiliate Doctor is playing the game and doing whatever he feels is right. I get it.
